About the project
Slow Latvia develops travel experiences based on markets, local food and real places across the country.
Markets are used as starting points – places where local life is visible and accessible. From there, experiences extend into surrounding regions, connecting producers, small businesses and cultural sites into one journey.
Treasury of the Soil is a culinary experience centred around Āgenskalns Market in Riga, presenting Latvian food culture through seasonal products, local producers and everyday market life. It combines guided tours, tastings and hands-on experiences, creating a direct connection to the origin of food.
The project brings together guided tours and self-guided routes, offering a flexible way to discover Latvia through local food, seasonal products and real encounters.
