About the project

Āgenskalns Market

Open since 1898, Āgenskalns Market is the largest and oldest market on the left bank of the Daugava River and has the status of a national cultural monument. From 2018 to 2022, the market’s historic pavilion underwent extensive renovation, and now everyone is invited to see the impressive changes after the restoration.

The first floor of the renovated pavilion is home to farmers and home producers, including both well-known and completely new producers. On the second floor, you can enjoy a meal and drinks in the market atmosphere. The market is open every day.

Āgenskalns Market is an inclusive, multifaceted, and environmentally friendly public space that also hosts cultural, educational, and various other events.
